A true product of the Richmond, Virginia music scene, Sayer’s Brew band members met performing together for several years in School of Rock’s House Band. Owen Sayer, Thomas Viggiani, Olivia Viggiani, and Cactus Kelly joined a music production workshop in the summer of 2024 and teamed up to write what would become Sayer’s Brew’s first song, “Nothing More Than Me." Owen writes the lyrics and takes on lead vocals and keyboard for the band. Thomas plays guitar and Olivia is on bass. Cactus adds the beats on the drums.

Their full repertoire of original songs includes influences from rock and pop to ragtime, funk, and jazz, resulting in a fresh and original sound that expands beyond any genre. The band is currently working on recording their first album at In Your Ear studios. In the meantime, check out the show listing to get the full experience at live gigs throughout RVA.
